Donor Advised Fund

A Donor Advised Fund is a giving option that allows the donor to “advise” over time how the original gift is to be distributed to Catholic parishes and schools within the Diocese of Evansville. The donor receives a charitable tax deduction in the year the gift is made but then can gift like a family foundation over time.  The Donor Advised Fund is in effect for up to two lifetimes so that a family can manage their charitable giving throughout the years. 

With a minimum gift of $10,000, donors can add to their Donor Advised Fund periodically and make the distributions to the charities within the Diocese of Evansville as they determine.  Each Donor Advised Fund has a permanent endowment piece associated with it so that after two lifetimes, whatever is remaining is transferred to an endowment.  This assures that the gift will forever be used as the donor originally indicated.
